Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn.
An acquaintance told me to make a 5 year plan but at the time I couldn’t see past the mess I was in spiritually, emotionally, and financially. I thought that my goals would take a lot longer than 5 years.
It wasn’t until I surrendered to the Lord that I could see the possibilities more clearly. When I rented homes I didn’t decorate much because it was temporary and I didn’t want to waste paint if I was going to be moving anyway. I was sitting in the lap of someone I dated and as he held me like a child he told me he knew what I needed as we talked about the rental house and why it was plain. The truth is neither one of us really knew but God did. We had to learn in a very painful way that if it isn’t God’s way it’s the wrong way.
In 2014 I accomplished many of my 5 year plan goals when I was able to buy a home again for my family and make it our own. Just under the 5 year plan and still working on the other goals it’s only through God’s love that I have been able to accomplish this.
