Motivate and Illuminate

Romans 12:11

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

Everyone experiences a level of doubt in their life about what they do and what they can offer to the world.  Many strive to get recognition for their work or what they can do only to be disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm they hoped for.   Do not do things in life only to please others; do things that you are passionate about and that is of Gods truth.  We all have a gift to offer the world that God has given us; it’s up to you to find out by reading his word and living by his truth.  This is the only motivation you need.

If you wait for a cheering squad to say, “Way to go!” or “You can do it!” you may be waiting awhile.  Although these things are nice and you should do this for others sometimes it should never be the motivating factor of your gift.  When you least expect it your work will make a difference.  I received my first motivator from a woman who said “That I can relate to your book, Closer To The One and I have a friend that I am going to share it with too.”  I was so happy and God made it clear to me that his gift of sharing is just getting started and that I should be humble and steadfast moving forward.

Look to Jesus for motivation and he will fill you up with a spirit that will leave others in your Holy Spirit dust.  God motivates and you illuminate his glory.
